What a wonderful word

I think blackface is only racist if you're an American... It still doesn't feel quite right though. The look on the guys face at 1:16 pretty much sums up my feelings about this video.

Anyone who thinks this is racist well, check out this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIE3dIzypXI

They don't just imitate black ppl!! Check out 0:52 of the video in the link. Now there is a black guy who knows what is a joke!
Its just for fun.
Some ppl can't take a joke seriously!! what do you think comedians do anyway? Anybody watches "comedy central" huh? There is as much Asian jokes as there is for any other so don't discriminate just cause some of u cant take a joke!

Really though, this is wrong no matter who does it. Quite offensive.

If it is so hilarious why doesn't someone put on white face then? The idea never had a positive connotation to begin with. It will only ever offend Black people, it will always have negative roots. No matter how funny you try and swear it to be.

How is this offensive? He's impersonating a black man, obviously hes going to have to make himself look like the person hes impersonating.

same with ^ . nothing offensive about it. It is an impersonation. And that is what this show is about. when they impersonate a wite person they put the 'baby' powder on their face.

Agreed with - oh wait, we're all anonymous. It's an impersonation, not a mockery. No one's laughing, everyone's cheering.

I'm Finnish and its offensive when someone does blackface here too, not just USA. i dont think it was meant to be harmful, but was very uncomfortable to watch! I didnt like it :S

Not really offensive for us asians, we makes fun of people races all the time, I guess it's just the culture, cause you westerners have the civil rights whatever thing.

I don't see how this can be offensive. They were just using stage make-up as a way to emulate a singer they wanted to pay homage to, as many people have mentioned. I think there should be a distinction made between blackface meant to belittle and demean people and stage make-up used in this way.

If we're going to split hairs, why is an act like this so horribly offensive when a movie like "White Chicks" is supposed to be so funny? I despise double standards, no matter who they're coming from.
